CLAIMS MANAGER / TEAM LEADER - MANCHESTER

Claims Manager - The leading Manchester professional indemnity team of this highly regarded international firm is looking for a Claims Manager to occupy an important strategic role within the department.

The Partners are considering a broad range of candidates from those with an insurance background (except personal injury) to those with professional indemnity experience. Indeed, anyone with a solid background in subrogated recovery or general commercial litigation is also strongly encouraged to apply.

Management and / or team leadership skills are important as is experience of handling insurer relationships. The role is particularly attractive as the candidate can take advantage of the firm's flexi time policy and is also able to work from home.

OVERVIEW

  • Job Title: Claims Manager
  • Location: Manchester
  • Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 (Broad salary considered DOE)
  • Reports to: Partner / Head of Department
  • Previous Experience: Broad range of experience considered including and solid experience of subrogated claims such as product liability or even general insurance experience. Anyone with commercial litigation experience is also encouraged to apply.

TYPE OF WORK UNDERTAKEN BY TEAM

The department advises a broad range of clients in various sectors such as property, financial and professional services. The size and nature of the client base is equally mixed including everything from SMEs to national businesses and well as international public listed companies.

WHO THEY ARE LOOKING TO RECRUIT

In essence they are looking for candidates with proven experience in subrogated claims, or other forms of commercial insurance litigation (eg property damage / liability and product or commercial litigation. Applicants should ideally be able to demonstrate management or team leading abilities as this is essentially more of a strategic role. That said, the hiring manager are also willing to look at those intending to take a step up to a role offering more responsibility.
