The Team

The Central Support Team provides office-based services across all
business lines and across all offices to assist those members of staff
who are working remotely through the pandemic and who will continue to
work on an agile basis when we return to office-based working.

The Role

Working within the Central Support Team, you will
provide support of an administrative nature to assist staff members
within the Private Client team, who are working remotely. The work
will be varied but will be predominantly of a nature that cannot be
undertaken remotely.

You will be based in our Birmingham office. This is a
part -time (25 hours per week), office-based opportunity. The
working pattern required will be Monday to Friday - working during
the hours of either 9am -2pm or 10am - 3pm.

Key Skills & Experience

We are interested in speaking with candidates who have
a keen interest in law, a thirst for learning and enjoy working in a team.
Our successful candidate will ideally have at least 12
months experience in a role of a similar administrative nature. They
should demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team whilst also
being able to manage their own workload.

Duties will include:

* General administration tasks as requested by Private Client team
fee earners.

* Dealing with internal and external post, circulating to relevant
fee earner.

* Project managing the back log of old post piles and directing
authorised file destruction.

* Scanning, filing and archiving private client focused legal
documentation, bundles for Contentious Trusts & Probate, and
Wills & Deeds documentation in the strong room.

* Dealing with enquiries for documents to be released returned to clients

* Sending out specified documents for registration and signing.

* Opening up initial files and managing file closures.

* Providing assistance with ad-hoc general administration project work.

In particular we look for the following attributes:

* Previous experience working in a administration role is desirable.

* First class communication skills both written and verbal.

* Able to work flexibly and under pressure.

* Thrives managing high volumes of work and meeting tight deadlines.

* Comfortable working across all areas of work undertaken by Gateley.

* Mindset to gain understanding of regulatory requirement and
Gateley procedures and willingness to adhere to these.

* Willingness to develop colleague relationships.

* Enthusiasm to try "something new".

* Attention to detail and excellent organisation skills.

* Experience of Microsoft Office is desirable.
