My client is a top 50 UK law firm with one of the strongest reputations for insurance work in the country. With offices across the UK and abroad it is a market leader with partners recognised as leaders in their field.
With a large expert team, they are often heavily involved in ground breaking new cases and developments within catastrophic injury related law. Due to ever-increasing levels of work coming in to the team across the firm's UK offices, they now have this new opportunity for a further Assistant Solicitor up to 4 years PQE.
Working in this role you will have the opportunity to assist a Partner on a high value caseload up with matters up to the value of £15,000,000 . The work will consist of brain and spinal injuries, paralysis and amputation cases arising out of the full spectrum of personal injury. Day to day you will be drafting pleadings, witness statements and letters of response, conducting face to face negotiations and the mediation of claims as well as preparing counter schedules of damages in high value matters.
You will ideally have at least a couple of years strong, relevant experience, but your drive and passion to develop your career in this area is the key thing. Our Client is looking for candidates coming from a Defendant background, however, if your experience has gained within a top tier Claimant practice then we would still be keen to hear from you. You should have an excellent academic record with a 2.1 or higher at degree level and a commendation or distinction on the LPC.
If you are currently working as a Catastrophic Solicitor and you are perhaps frustrated with the types of files you get the chance to work on or the lack of career progression available to you in your current role, this new opening could potentially offer up a much better career option. Joining a leading UK law firm with all the benefits that come from that when it comes to the quality of the clients and the day to day work, the status and reputation you will have within the profession, the salary level and wide-ranging benefits you will receive etc. is perhaps an opportunity not to be missed.
