The Vacancy

The BA team acts as an internal consulting function to the firm and are involved in a number of change programmes for the business. Each business analyst has a number of analysis projects running in parallel across different areas including: procurement, integration, compliance, feasibility, solution development and design. It is a small high performing team that takes a holistic approach acting with the firm's best interests. This means that strong business and technical skills are essential for this role and working in a hybrid waterfall/agile environment with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. This role will be focused on the European operations for the firm and will require a combination of both analysis but also delivery skills. It is important that the role forges deep relationships within the European offices and becomes a trusted IT advisor.

What can you expect?

  • Leading ongoing reviews of existing processes, mapping and evaluating processes, anticipating requirements, identifying areas for improvement, as well as developing and delivering solutions. Where required this will be both a mix of analysis and project management skills needed.
  • Writing reports and presenting the findings of reports to a range of senior stakeholders at all levels of the partnership and business services.
  • Eliciting and identifying the needs and wants of end users for new solutions, systems and processes including conducting workshops across varied stakeholder groups to elicit and develop ideas and findings collaboratively
  • Analysing findings and using modelling methods to develop specifications, recommend changes and improvements and to define and document requirements and recommendations
  • Definition of low level detailed technical requirements to enable technical testing to take place on platforms as required. Where required to validate first pass alignment to requirements
  • Communicating with multiple stakeholders at all levels informally and in formal presentations and in writing including the preparation of formal business cases (including all financial analysis)
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements - you will have or develop detailed knowledge of the functionality of key products and comparative products in the market and will maintain users stories and summaries for the solutions, systems and processes which the firm implements. You will also need to understand new technologies and opportunities within the European markets (for country specific requirements)
  • Maintain a high level awareness of jurisdictional and data sovereignty compliance requirements within central Europe

A bit about you

  • Fluency in English, French and German is essential for this role
  • Stakeholder engagement - the ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to identify or formulate the most appropriate solutions.
  • Shows initiative whilst equally comfortable working on their own and being part of a highly collaborative team.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, organisational, and time management skills – previous project management experience would be ideal.
  • Good experience of project methodologies
  • Well versed in software design, development and documentation.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Experience in data analytics, automation or artificial intelligence is desirable.
  • Experience running consultancy workshops or projects with clients in order to identify improvements is desirable.
