BUSINESS ANALYST - MANCHESTER

The ability to understand business needs and develop forward thinking solutions for them is key to being a successful Business Analyst. We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with excellent Business Analyst skills to join a successful Manchester based Law Firm and design solutions for its complex business and IT processes. By working with cross-functional teams in Development, MI and Testing you will be the key interface between both IT and the Business. Excellent communication skills and a focus on fostering a collaborative approach to problem solving with internal and external colleagues will enable the successful candidate to design and deliver effective business solutions for small and large projects. You are expected to achieve consistent high standards of accuracy and comply with IT and PMO policies and guidelines.

  • Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 (negotiable/flexible dependent on suitability)

  • Previous Experience: Experience of the legal or insurance sectors is an advantage, and a work history demonstrating prior experience as a Business Analyst is necessary.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

This role requires a capable Business Analyst who must be an excellent communicator capable of clearly explaining technical solutions with all levels of stakeholders and even clients. You have a responsibility for end to end business analysis for system and projects which includes requirements gathering, facilitating workshops and business impact analysis.

The role requires an attention to detail and responsibility for clearly documenting projects, such as technical specifications, stories and design specification. You will work closely with the Project Management team to ensure full and effective management and documentation of change, as well as the training department to help embed process change. As such the PMO values and working practices must be followed and supported. The ability to develop As-Is To-Be process maps for both technical and stakeholder use is required. This is a role that will require you to develop your knowledge and understanding of the business and the changing legal landscape so as to able to recommend different solutions and determine business, resource, cost implications and scalability of these solutions.
