The London Pensions team, part of the wider London Corporate practice, is a small but dynamic team lead by two partners. It is a stable, friendly team and this opportunity has arisen due to an associate deciding not to return from maternity leave.
The team covers a full range of general pensions advisory work to employers and trustees. The workload includes governance, investment, buy-in and buy-out work, other types of risk management, master trust advice, pensions litigation and corporate support. The team works closely with our corporate insurance team on insurance and pensions products. We also work closely with our disputes practice on contentious matters. The role will be a varied one as the team does not encourage individuals to over-specialise. Approximately 20% of the workload is corporate support work and approximately 80% of the workload is stand alone pensions work.
The team is recognised as a leading practice by Legal 500 and Chambers.
We are currently seeking a mid-level associate with previous experience of advisory, corporate support and investment work to join the practice. The role will provide the opportunity for a bright and dynamic individual to gain access to a wide range of high quality work as well as contribute to the team both technically and in developing the practice.
Skills and Experience Required
* Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
* Experience of advisory and corporate support work within a recognised pensions practice
* Entrepreneurial attitude
* Driven and ambitious
* Able to demonstrate a high level of technical understanding and skill
* Excellent academics
