We are looking to appoint an Associate within our Employment Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a varied caseload, working on behalf of our Police Federation and Trade Union clients.

You will be part of a team that has the privilege of working with and supporting the Trade Union Movement and the people they represent. You will be passionate about employee rights and will ideally be a claimant solicitor, but applications will also be considered from respondent solicitors.

This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a highly established team of specialists. You will need to have excellent knowledge of Employment Tribunal rules of procedure and the litigation process.

Responsibilities of the role:

* Maintaining and overseeing the file management of a complex, varied caseload of predominantly employment law cases.

* Responsible for all aspects of Employment law work including providing top-level technical expertise and guidance to other team members.

* Providing the highest level of client care, advice, and representation to our clients

* Building relationships with internal and external parties.

* Dealing with collective and policy matters; including trade union and industrial law, as well as public law and human rights-related employment issues.

* Participating, with other fee earners in marketing activities including networking.

About you:

* Knowledge and experience within a similar area of Law.

* Qualified Solicitor or equivalent.

* The ability to successfully manage an individual billing target.

* Experience of working to key performance indicators.

* A willingness to actively drive and encourage cross-referrals.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

* An adaptable approach and the ability to foster a culture of positive change.
