The department

Our commercial property department is ranked Top ranked Chambers UK 2019 and Top Tier Legal 500 2018. Providing a service which covers all aspects of the construction and property industry - development and investment, planning, secured lending, landlord and tenant, agricultural and residential. We have developed a reputation for having one of the best regarded and largest dedicated property teams within any firm outside London, numbering over 70 specialists.

Purpose of job

Our housebuilder sector group acts for a number of high profile national and regional developers and regularly deals with :

* Conditional and unconditional acquisitions and disposals

* Affordable housing disposals

* Portfolio acquisitions and disposals

* Option agreements and strategic land planning

* Consortium/collaboration agreements

* Overage arrangements

* Mixed Site assembly and development

* City/town regeneration schemes

* Contentious and non-contentious construction work

* Secured lending

* Site regeneration for both the public and private sectors

Accountabilities

?Data Privacy:

* Ensure you are aware of and comply with all information security policies of the organisation relevant to your business role;

* Report any actual or potential security breaches; and

* Contribute to risk assessment where required.

* All employees have the authority to act to prevent an information security incident from occurring or escalating, where possible.

The candidate

Ideally seeking an Associate/Senior Associate, from 3 years PQE + gained within a well-regarded city, regional or national firm with a well-developed knowledge in all areas of commercial property. Whilst no prior experience of commercial development/housebuilder work is required and full training and supervision will be provided, candidates who are able to demonstrate some experience in a number of the areas of work set out above or willingness to specialise will be preferred.

He/she would be expected to play an active role in marketing and practice development as well as providing a high level of service to existing clients.
