Description

DLA Piper, as a law firm of the future, is embracing change and is driving initiatives promoting customer centricity and exceptional service delivery, externally and internally, which is underpinned by a recently introduced resource management framework.

We are looking for an Assistant Resourcing Manager, who will be joining our resourcing function, sitting within the global Business & Service Delivery department, providing support and service to all business areas within the group. Therefore a successful candidate will have experience in resource allocation, ideally from a professional services environment, encompassed with a great deal of stakeholder relationship management, striving for operational excellence and commercial efficiency.

The role will be located in our London headquarters.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Be accountable for the successful delivery of resourcing requests in a timely and efficient manner
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders within the practice group, at all levels including Partners
* Manage the resourcing forecasting tool, using this to generate insights and assist with resourcing decisions
* Support the ongoing development of the resourcing framework
* Collaborating with other areas of the business and promoting Service Delivery offerings, such as, Legal Delivery Centre, Flexible Lawyer Service
* Proactivity in seeking opportunities to further promote and enhance the resourcing framework

* Experience of dealing with resource allocation, ideally within a professional services environment
* Able to handle multiple priorities, working to sometimes conflicting timescales in a fast-paced and challenging environment
* Able to build trust and rapport to develop effective relationships
* Able to learn the language of the business and apply this to resourcing conversations
* Able to be innovative and offer creative solutions
* Experience of working with financial systems
