Compliance and HR Assistant sought for a thriving practice in Bedfordshire.

Our client, a bespoke practice in Bedford, has been actively seeking a driven assistant with former experience of working within a legal or accounts environment. The successful Compliance and HR Assistant will report directly to the practice manager and handle a diverse and challenging workload to facilitate the delivery of the firm’s legal services. The role offers an outstanding opportunity to develop the profile of the department and to progress further within the firm.

Responsibilities
• Assisting with the management of the back office
• Drafting HR correspondence
• Co-ordinating creation of company website
• Occasional day-today accounts
• Recruitment
• Policies updates
• Ensuring regulatory compliance
• PII, Lexcel, practising certificate and CQS renewals
• Absence management
• Attending partners meetings
• Negotiating with third party suppliers
• Developing organisational and performance systems

The Candidate
• Secretaries, paralegals and assistants with a minimum of 2 years’ experience gained within legal or accounts environment
• Strong academic background
• Excellent communication skills
• Outstanding IT skills
• Ability to work well to tight deadlines with minimal supervision
• Great attention to detail
