Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer

Sellick Partnership are working on behalf of a well respected and friendly Local Authority client to recruit to the position of Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer.

The successful applicant will take on a varied caseload consisting of:

  • Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards challenges
  • s16 applications in the Court of Protection
  • General Mental Capacity Act advice
  • Ordinary Residence disputes
  • Care Act duties
  • Mental Health Act matters

The successful candidate will oversee the whole process of each case from pre-proceedings through to completion of the final hearing. This is a fast-paced role but having such a significant influence mean you'll play a huge role in ensuring successful outcomes for the adults concerned. Your contributions will help to ensure vulnerable adults living in the area are supported to live as independently as possible.

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running so experience in Adult Social Care law is essential. Local authority experience is not necessary.

The appointed person be a practising solicitor, barrister or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, and have demonstrable post-qualification legal experience. Local Government experience is not essential but some experience of advising on the Mental Capacity Act is required for this post

This is a fully remote working role where both full and part time hours will be considered
