3+ PQE Solicitor or Associate – Projects / Commercial in Bristol, Birmingham or London
We are looking for a Solicitor or Associate to join our Commercial and Infrastructure Department to focus on projects, commercial and infrastructure work.
We will consider candidates from a range of backgrounds and experience including, for example, someone who is a contracts/transactional lawyer (e.g. construction, commercial or finance) without direct experience of our specific sectors but who has a desire to broaden their experience to wider projects and infrastructure work.
One of the key attributes that we look for in applicants is a passion to learn, enthusiasm and the desire to excel as a lawyer. We will provide support and training to the successful candidate who will gain excellent experience, development and career opportunities.
You will be joining a highly respected Department who have advised on some award winning projects. The team is experienced in project finance, public private partnerships, construction and engineering, and commercial transactions.
The Department was recently shortlisted for "Legal Adviser of the Year" at the Partnership Awards 2018.
The team advises on projects in a wide range of sectors including:
Waste and Environment,
Energy and Renewables,
Regeneration and Commercial Development,
The team has an exceptional reputation in acting for project developers, project companies, contractors, local authorities and sub-contractors. Some of our clients include Engie, Viridor, Legal & General, Cemex, SDCL, Argent, Wates and many UK wide public sector organisations.
Advise on challenging and market leading commercial and infrastructure deals
Have lots of client contact and responsibility – but appropriate to your knowledge and expertise
Receive support, training and development by senior members of the team
Be encouraged to develop business development skills
You will have:
3 – 7 years PQE - however we may be interested in less or more experienced candidates depending on the nature of your experience
A passion to learn, enthusiasm and the desire to excel as a lawyer
Experience of working in a team and coordinating advice with fee earners from other disciplines
Knowledge of key areas of the law and the ability to deliver clear, precise and practical advice
Excellent organisational skills
Private practice or in-house experience
