Legal Secretary Public Law - Sheffield Up to £16,500
Our client is a highly reputable law firm with the Legal 500 status, established in the early 1900's this firm has consistently been developing, expanding and meeting Clients expectations. The firm has handled many high profile cases and on a daily basis provides an exceptional Legal service to private individuals, businesses and other institutions.
They are looking to recruit a Legal Secretary to join the Public Law team in the Sheffield office. The team has seen continual growth and has had many publicised successes to its name. The caseload of the team includes a wide variety of high profile litigation in areas such as health, social welfare and education provision, commercial and general judicial review, prison law, planning and environmental law and professional regulation often with a human rights dimension.
This role will involve working closely with fee earners, providing them with a comprehensive, efficient and accurate secretarial service and working closely with the rest of the Public Law Support team. You will be responsible for co-ordinating fee earner diaries, giving administrative support to the team and acting as the key contact point for clients. You will be required to audio type and produce some general letters, notes, forms and any other documentation.
The ideal candidate will be committed to producing a high quality of work, be adaptable to changing demands and priorities and be capable of working on their own initiative. An excellent telephone manner and the confidence to deal with a wide range of queries will be important as is a commitment to client care. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic with good communication skills, strong organisational and time management skills and they must also possess the ability to work as part of a team.
Excellent audio typing skills with typing speeds of at least 55wpm are essential. GCSE passes at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English are required as is the ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of the Microsoft Office Package.
