Our Client’s Corporate Crime and Investigations team includes 60 experienced commercial and criminal defence lawyers, specialist investigators and former senior employees of many of the regulatory authorities. With many years' experience of defending directors and companies in relation to corporate crime, they are the market leaders in crisis management and risk prevention.
Much of their work also has an international element and the team works closely with colleagues, both corporate crime and investigations experts and regulatory specialists, in other jurisdictions.
The team handles all types of investigations including those involving tax and accounting irregularities, corruption, bribery, fraud, cartels, price fixing and referrals from Audit Committees as well as dealing with raids, search and seizure, extradition and cross-border arrest warrants. They advise on the powers of all the main Regulators and how to deal with them, including HM Revenue & Customs, the FSA, OFT, SFO, DTI, Health & Safety Executive, Environment Agency, Competition Commission, Serious Organised Crime Agency, Police and overseas Regulators.
