Leading South West full service law firm seeks an experienced Solicitor to join their Charities team.
Essential Criteria
- Solicitor
- Experience in a major law firm with a significant commercial department
- Good academics
- An individual who is client friendly and proactive
- Good drafting skills
- Significant expertise and experience of non-contentious charity law work to include formation and registration, governance and constitutional issues, compliance, and fundraising and trading issues.
Optional Criteria
Working knowledge and experience of:-
·Social enterprises
·Company and commercial law
·Charity mergers and asset transfers
·Industrial and Provident Society law and regulation
The successful applicant will join the Business and Public Sector Group comprising 125 fee earners. Within that group there are teams covering commercial and residential property transactions, commercial transactions, banking and debt collection, employment, financial and commercial disputes, insolvency, media and IT, insurance and PI, planning and land use and property litigation. The successful applicant will primarily work with partners in the commercial transactions unit. He or she will have the capability, and will be encouraged, to lead the expansion of work in the significant charities and social enterprise practice which has already been built up.
