This large, leading regional firm is able to boast of being a market leader in PFI/Projects work in the region. Their team has seen significant growth in the last five years and won accolades for its many high value projects. Highly regarded by the Legal 500 and Chambers Directories, they are now looking to expand at the 2+ pqe level.
THE WHO, THE WHAT:
The Cambridge based team has a substantial client base of public sector bodies, bidding consortia, funders and is securing substantial private sector work. The team advises on on projects, including high value PFI, PPP and NHS LIFT projects, and provides real estate and general commercial project advice in many sectors (including the health, higher education, local authority, defence, detention and waste sectors). It also advises on re-financings and outsourcings. The team has four partners and numbers sixteen in total.
This impressive team of professionals want another lawyer at the 2+ pqe level to assist on finance aspects of projects work, security documents and intercreditor documents as well as providing general advice on finance-related risk issues and to provide general support on all aspects of project work. The role will include acting for funders, private sector consortia and the public sector and you will be gain exposure to cross sector transactions so work will be extremely varied in nature.
You will also be expected to take an active part in business development initiatives, including preparation for the funding aspects of tenders, attending beauty parades, writing articles, contributing to seminars and attending client hospitality events.
