PFI/PROJECTS SOLICITORS
We are currently looking for an experienced PFI /Projects solicitor who is able to assist on finance aspects of projects work, including the negotiation of loan agreements, security documents, including direct agreements and intercreditor documents, as well as providing general advice on finance-related risk issues in projects and to provide general support on all aspects of project work.
The role will include acting for funders, private sector consortia and the public sector. Transactions will be cross sector and hence extremely varied. There will be opportunities for direct client interface and to assist with the team's marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities will include:
* drafting and negotiating a wide range of project related senior and subordinated finance documentation;
* drafting and negotiating fixed and floating security arrangements and complex priority, subordination, intercreditor documentation and hedging arrangements;
* assisting with drafting general project documentation (including project agreements, relevant schedules and related sub-contract documentation and interface agreements);
* liaising with other in-firm specialists and client retained professionals to ensure a seamless legal service;
* generally assisting other team members in delivering successful projects; and
* actively participating in business development initiatives, including preparation for the funding aspects of tenders, attending beauty parades, writing articles, contributing to seminars and attending client hospitality events.
The person
Essential:
* Good academics - 2.1 degree or equivalent and A levels (e.g. A,A,C or 300 Ucas points)
* IT literacy, including familiarity with MS Office
* Good research skills, including an ability to use online information sources
* Excellent written English and ability to produce clear, logical drafting
* Numeracy
* Negotiating skills
* Lateral thinking and problem solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Enthusiasm towards building and strengthening relationships with clients and their advisors
* Flexibility to work with several team members
* Effective time and matter mangement and a systematic approach to work
* Proactive team player
* Drive and commitment to see a job through, and
* Good marketing approach to clients, prospective clients and multipliers
Desirable
* Excellent experience in PFI/Projects
* Marketing experience
* 2+ years PQE
