Job Description
This established law firm based in Sussex are looking to make a key appointment of a Private Client Partner. This position is a major appointment towards the firms future business plan to maximise there professional standing within this field and to be the law firm of choice in this area. They have a strong market presence both locally and across the UK, with some active clients around the EU. Currently they are also seeing an increase in referrals from the Asia and Pacific regions.
Candidate specification:
Have a senior appointment currently with a reputable law firm ·Be a member of the appropriate professional organisations - STEP.
·Have a sound employment record within a City or regional law firm ·Ability to manage and train junior staff
·Strong interest and skill in tax law ·Good technical skills in Trust, Probate, estates and tax planning ·Track record on marketing, business development and winning new business.
Key responsibilities:
·Play a leading role in departmental and firm wide business development and marketing initiatives ·Responsible for creation and development of client relationships
·Providing specialist advice on inheritance tax planning, trusts and other family matters
·Advising on and drafting wills, codicils, power of attorney, care for the elderly and enduring powers of attorney and trusts ·Managing and developing the team
·Ensuring the team are abreast of changes in the tax, trust and probate arena
