The Group/Team There are 6 partners and over 25 associates who comprise the private client group. The firm is recognised as having one of the leading private client teams in the UK advising high net worth individuals and charities. Their experienced team operates on a national basis. Their clients typically include business owners, executives, landowners and trustees of high value trusts
The Role Reporting to the Partners and Secretarial Resources Manager, the role provides highly effective secretarial services to three fee earners in the Trust and Tax team in Private Client.
Strives to provide excellent client service both to the immediate and wider divisional/office-wide secretarial teams
Ability to engage in a culture of change, supporting the strategy of the firm
Actively promotes the benefits of new technologies and supports improved processes
Skills & Competencies required Any successful applicant will need the following skills:
Strong technical skills across all Microsoft packages including Windows, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel, with a minimum of 70 WPM audio and copy typing
Prioritisation of workflow to meet the demands of the team
Excellent communication skills
Highly organised with a "can do" attitude
Be able to utilise the firm's resources effectively
Work efficiently in a fast paced environment and on own initiative
Flexible and adaptable approach
There are excellent prospects for progression within this role and within the firm as a whole
Background The successful candidate will have:
City & Guilds/ILEX Level 3 Diploma for Legal Secretaries or equivalent
Experience gained within a comparable environment and at an appropriate level
Clear understanding of the operation and structure of a Top 15 law firm
Ability to achieve continuous improvement and development
