UK Financial Services Company are looking for a paralegal for a 6 months contract- but has definite ongoing possibilities. £25,000 - £26,000
Role:
· Providing legal advice with/under the supervision of lawyers to the business units (which may entail running own caseload) on a range of different issues including the interpretation and development of UK and relevant EU law
· Providing legal support and conducting research for retail and wholesale markets teams
· Drafting legal documents
Skills:
· Providing legal support and conducting research for retail and wholesale markets teams
· Drafting legal documents
· Appropriate legal qualifications and experience
· Ability to understand financial concepts
· A strong team player who is willing to assist colleagues as and when required
· To have strong analytical skills
· The ability to deal with competing priorities and juggle workloads to ensure deadlines are met
· Good research skills and knowledge of case law
· Ability to provide legal solutions which are risk-based and outcome focussed
Additional Skills:
· Good IT skills
· Previous experience in financial services law.
