Working with (and deputising for) the Principal Lawyer, you'll bring a proactive approach to the provision of legal advice to Education & Children's Services (ECS) and Adult Social Care (ASC). Besides the conduct of cases and personal appearance in courts and tribunals, you'll keep a watching brief on changes in the law and be ready with advice on their implications. As a senior member of the new Legal Services team, you'll play a vital role in embracing and embedding a high quality, customer-led culture.
With high calibre post-qualification experience in Child Care Law and Local Government Law, you'll be up to speed on the latest legislation and current thinking, and aware of a local authority's duties towards asylum seekers. Now you're ready to be part of something new and exciting that will draw on your leadership prowess and commercial acumen.
