An excellent opportunity for a Senior Local Government Lawyer to work for a Legal 500 firm in Leeds. Salary to £55k.
Our client is a largely successful firm with offices worldwide and is recognised as a Legal 500 company. They are striving to be the leading global law firm and to achieve this they recognise they need to invest in their staff, clients and the community. The offices offer clients excellent business-driven advice from highly qualified and dedicated staff who always go the extra mile to strive for excellence.
The firm's eight core practice Groups provide commercially driven advice to a range of prestige clients in both the private and public sector.
With over 50 local authorities as clients, they now seek an additional experienced local government lawyer with at least four years' relevant experience in local authority law and governance and in particular public finance & regulation and local government powers.
Additional experience in local authority JVs and PFI/PPP projects would be useful but not essential.
The successful recruit is likely to be working as a senior lawyer in the public sector (or for clients in the public sector) and seeking an alternative career direction in a firm committed to investing in the careers and development of its people.
