An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Local Government Lawyer to work within a prestigious international law firm.
Our client is one of the world's largest law firms with nearly 8000 people in 64 offices and 25 countries across the world and global turnover exceeding £1 billion.
Their vision is to be the leading global business law firm, a vision which is underpinned by a set of core values which invest in their people, clients and community. They want individuals who are open, down-to-earth, pragmatic, friendly and responsive. In short they recruit team players who will contribute to the development of the firm. In return they offer a supportive and empowering environment, great training and development programmes where all of their people are given every opportunity to fulfil their full potential.
Their eight core practice Groups provide commercially driven advice to a range of prestige clients in both the private and public sector.
With over 50 local authorities as clients, they now seek an additional experienced local government lawyer with at least four years' relevant experience in local authority law and governance and in particular public finance & regulation and local government powers.
Additional experience in local authority JVs and PFI/PPP projects would be useful but not essential.
The successful recruit is likely to be working as a senior lawyer in the public sector (or for clients in the public sector) and seeking an alternative career direction in a firm committed to investing in the careers and development of its people.
