This is a great opportunity for a professional Newly Qualified Solicitor to join one of the UK’s largest law firms, with 7 offices, 113 Partners and more than 1500 Personnel, this firm has an excellent reputation. The role is based in the firm’s Milton Keynes office.
The ideal candidate will have trained at a City or leading regional practice and had their final training seat within Commercial Litigation. The successful candidate will be dealing with a high quality Commercial Litigation workload.
Responsibilities:
· Dealing with a range of commercial litigation matters to include breach of contract, negligence, Companies Court work, fraud, defamation, IP
· Handling some property litigation and landlord and tenant matters, including lease renewals, dilapidations and service charge disputes
· Acting for companies, banks and other financial institutions, partnerships, professional bodies and private individuals
· Handling a large and varied caseload, with a strong commercial approach
Skills & Experience:
· Recently admitted as a Solicitor with up to 1 years PQE
· A high level of motivation and commitment
· Client focus, with a strength in building and maintaining relationships
· Commercial awareness
· A developing affinity with marketing and business development
· The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
· Excellent IT skills with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
· Experience of working a case management system
· An interest in Property Litigation, IP, Fraud or Construction or another specialist area would be an advantage
