Our client is a large Corporate law firm with 5 branches in the South East and the City of London. The Finance Department is looking for a Senior Credit Controller to join its team in Crawley on a fixed term contract of 6 months. The successful candidate will have previous credit control and financial experience in a professional service environment preferably within a law firm. This role reports to the Finance Director and Partners, and will provide a short term impetus to the collection processes within the firm ensuring that the firm increases the level of cash collection and age profile of debts.
The Role
Manage outstanding balance aged debt proactively to ensure payments are made and ensure outstanding debts are brought to a satisfactory conclusion.
Work in partnership with Senior Partners and Fee Earners to manage credit control effectively within each Practice Group.
Work with the Finance Team to ensure effective billing and debt management within the firm.
Keep the firm up to date with new credit management procedures and techniques and to recommend improvements and developments to the existing system.
Ability to communicate at all level but specifically with senior management and at partner level.
