On behalf of our well established legal 500 client, Frances Armstrong Associates LLP is currently seeking an experienced H.R Manager for an exciting new role with great prospects within this leading west midlands law firm.
Over the past few years, the firm has gone from strength to strength and has now grown to be one of the largest in the west midlands with several branches statically located around the area.
This role requires a HR Manager with legal practice experience who relishes a challenge and strives for success. Due to the nature of the role, proven experience working within a law firm is essential and CIPD qualifications are preferred.
The role offers variety and responsibilities that will include
* The management of the firm’s Fee-earners and Support staff
* Recruiting of fee earning staff, liaising with recruitment agencies
* Undertaking interviews and working to deadlines
* Dealing with any employee issues such as disciplinary, sickness
* Attending partnership meetings and assisting with driving the business forward
* Carrying out appraisals
* Liaising with all departments
Essential experience includes
* Proven experience in a similar HR Management role within the legal sector
* Excellent meditation and negotiation skills
* Previous experience of recruiting for fee earners and business support staff
* Team Management or leader experience
* Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and outlook
* Ability to communicate effectively
* Ability to utilise own initiative and provide support and guidance to staff
* Knowledge of employment law (preferred)
Start Date - ASAP
Salary – A salary of up to £40,000 will be awarded to reflect skills, experience and expectations of the successful applicant.
