Excellent opportunity for a Compliance Lawyer to join this well-regarded firm of solicitors.
Working in-house the role will include:
• Professional Indemnity Claims - investigating circumstances/claims, preparing reports and giving advice/guidance to the Compliance Director, Practice Manager and fee earners.
• Professional Indemnity Insurance including assisting in the renewal process.
• Complaints - investigating complaints, preparing reports, giving advice/guidance to the Compliance Director, Practice Manager fee earners and resolving complaints.
• Professional Conduct- compliance with the Solicitors Code of Conduct -responding to queries from fee earners and preparing professional conduct updates.
• Anti-money Laundering - providing guidance/advice to fee earners, investigating suspicions of money laundering and preparing reports, preparing AML updates and providing AML training.
• Referral arrangements-maintaining appropriate records.
• Financial services-ensuring compliance.
• Anti discrimination-reviewing policies and ensuring compliance.
• Auditing and reviewing files
• Risk Management - assisting in the overseeing of the practice's risk management plan, preparing risk management updates and conducting file audits
