A Top 100 law firm is looking for a senior Professional Indemnity Solicitor to join its London office.
This is a specialist role working high quality cases for insurers. You will need to demonstrate the ability to anticipate and adjust to legislative/procedural changes. You will be expected to provide advice on variety of claims against professionals in both the traditional and emerging sectors, dealing with underwriting issues, policy wording/coverage, complaints and disciplinary hearings. Knowledge of Financial Services is essential. Excellent academics required (2.1 minimum).
Legal 500 identify the firms Financial and Professional Risks Group as the leader for advice to professional indemnity insurers in the region and is building up its national presence in the area of complex professional liability work. Its defence of claims in 2007 included a £2m insurance brokers negligence case, but the team has expertise in traditional professional services as well as emerging areas such as media, IT and management consultancy.
