Solicitor - EL/PL Personal Injury
Location: Bristol
Salary: £29,000 - £41,000

A Personal Injury Solicitor / Legal executive with experience of Employers Liability and Public Liability is required to join one of the UK top legal firms within the top 500. You will be joining a team that deals with a mix of leading names in the insurance industry, dealing with all aspects of defendant litigation relating to long tail legacy liability and short tail industrial disease.

Responsibilities:

Within this role you will be expected to handle your own mixed caseload of casualty and disease cases
You will also act as a first point of contact for designated clients and will be expected to build relationships with client contacts at all levels
Obtaining and drafting pleadings, witness statements and letters of response, conduct face to face negotiations / mediation of claims, prepare detailed schedules of damage and counter schedules in high value claims

Skills:

0 – 2 years' post qualified experience, or experienced legal executive ideally in the field of either disease/casualty litigation.
Good communication skills are essential for this role as are excellent commercial awareness and an interest in broader business issues
You will need to be flexible with an ability to adapt to rapid change, both internally and in the context of clients' businesses, and take over a defended and small claims and fast track case load
