Our client is a large national law firm with offices in Bristol. A top 100 law firm with over 80 partners this is a firm which is growing steadily even in the current market. They are currently seeking an experienced commercial litigator ideally with financial services litigation experience to join their busy team, The firm act for individuals and also for businesses including financial advisers, stockbrokers, fund managers and the trustees of occupational pension schemes. You will be dealing with a wide range of work including compliance and regulatory disputes, insurance disputes, professional negligence, breach of contract and breach of trust claims (amongst other things). You will need to have extensive experience of civil procedure including instructions to Counsel, experts, drafting letters of claim, witness statements, negotiation and settlement of claims, case management and pre-trial reviews. Advocacy experience would also be useful as you may find you are involved in interim and final hearings and claims and appeals to the Financial Service Ombudsman as well as mediations. The firm is centrally located in modern offices close to transport links and the new Cabot Circus development.
