LEGAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER - BEDS/HERTS
Leading 2 office independent law firm seeks an experienced Management Accountant to take over from present manager who is moving on to pastures new.
Must have substantial previous experience in a similar role
Have a good working knowledge of Solicitors Accounting Rules.
Be prepared to oversee the accounting at both Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire offices
Day to day duties will range from the preparation of monthly management accounts and year end statutory accounts, through budgets and forecasting to aid management decision making right down to the nuts and bolts of the ledgers / credit control, payroll etc., dealing with client transactions, money transfers, bank reconciliations, petty cash, account queries, timely accounting and reporting procedures, and team development and improvements to accounting procedures.
To achieve this, you will have a good working knowledge of current legislation, the motivation and organisational skills to work accurately and to deadlines, a professional approach, a good working knowledge of Excel, able to communicate effectively at all levels, able to prioritise, and to offer excellent customer service, and to contribute within the team.
The package includes a salary of £30 - £40k,dependant on experience, 25 days annual leave and a bonus scheme.
