Claims Handler - Professional & Commercial Risk, Bristol A Claims Handler is sought for a new role in the Professional & Commercial Risk team within a well regarded Bristol based firm. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
My client offers a leading commercial legal service and work with market leaders in several key industry sectors. This notable Legal 500 firm would be an excellent opportunity for a role within a team working on numerous high value and sensitive professional negligence/indemnity claims for clients throughout the country.
The successful applicant will work, under supervision, on professional indemnity cases up to a value of £50,000 and/or cases without complex coverage issues. It will be a challenging and interesting role where your day to day tasks will include conducting reviews of new cases, assess liability and quantum and the resolution of claims through negotiation/rebuttal.
You should be client focused with the ability to maintain good client relationships and be able to effectively communicate with third parties. You will take further instructions from clients as the cases progress and will instruct experts and external counsel where appropriate.
Candidates should have an excellent academic record, be of graduate calibre and have good IT literacy and keyboard skills. You will be professional, enthusiastic and committed in the long term to pursuing a career within this field.
Previous experience of working in a role such as a claims paralegal within professional indemnity is an advantage as is knowledge of case management systems though training on this will be provided.
Confident communication skills are of key importance as well as the ability to work to deadlines under pressure. Fantastic Bristol based opportunity to join this leading firm.
