CORPORATE RECOVERY & INSOLVENCY SOLICITOR - NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
We are currently looking to recruit a talented Insolvency Solicitor to help build the portfolio of their clients and to assist the continued growth and future development of the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated candidate who is looking to progress quickly to an Associate role. Ideally you will be established within the North East market with experience in corporate and personal insolvency. The role will involve both contentious and non contentious work with excellent opportunities for progression.
You must have the capacity to manage a caseload and the ability to take responsibility for your clients. You should possess both the ability to work with minimal supervision on appropriate deals and also to work as part of a team on larger transactions. You should have good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. The ability to work well in teams is an essential element to the success of the unit.
Good organisational skills and time management are essential to this role along with the flexibility required to provide solutions quickly and meet tight deadlines which are typical in important transactions.
Contentious knowledge should include a broad overview of insolvency litigation procedures, good working knowledge of the technical aspects of personal insolvency law, knowledge of the various claims which can be pursued by insolvency practitioners generally, experience of appearing before district judges in insolvency applications and drafting witness statements.
Non contentious work should include experience of sales and purchase of businesses from administrators and receivers, a good working knowledge of various types of insolvency work including liquidations, administrations, CVA's, receiverships and LPA receiverships.
You will also work with the team to win new work and identify further opportunities for business development; therefore you must demonstrate a willingness and aptitude for market/practice development and involvement as part of the wider corporate team. You should be an ambitious person, eager to drive your own success and that of the team with a willingness to undertake new challenges.
