Arguably the best opportunity in the market. This phenomenal national team is in the market for an ambitious assistant to further bolster the London arm of the team. The team undertakes a mix of domestic and cross-jurisdictional corporate recovery proceedings and restructuring issues for a range of insolvency practitioners, banks, creditors and accountancy practices.
Clients rate the group for its commercial approach. They are picking up an increasing volume of work on restructuring assignments from its sizeable corporate client base, in addition to its regular work advising on all elements of contentious and non-contentious formal insolvency procedures.
The group has developed solid links with clearing banks and insolvency practitioners, and is on hand to deal with pension schemes in or at risk of being in deficit. Adjectives abound when considering this team: friendly and unassuming, commercially-minded, aggressive at times and dynamic are a few.
You will have at least 2 years' PQE and will have undertaken a broad range of contentious and non-contentious insolvency and corporate restructuring. A familiarity with formal insolvency regimes, predominantly administrations and liquidations, is required along with some working knowledge of CVAs, s.110 demergers and schemes of arrangement.
