HR and Facilities Manager Manchester Our client is a leading law firm, they have an exciting opportunity to join a brand new Manchester office opening in January 2009. They are looking for a forward thinking, innovative and confident HR professional with a 'can do' approach to make an impact, and be responsible for the setting up and maintenance of the new office. Duties will include; Recruitment - Source, develop, manage and maintain the support staff for the new offices including agency liaison, conducting interviews, managing offers and ensure the effective induction of new staff, HR Administration dealing with day to day correspondence, payroll collation, providing monthly reports, sickness, maternity, holiday and overtime administration, Employee Relations - responsible for providing advice and guidance on grievance and disciplinary issues, ensuring correct procedures are undertaken in line with company policy, responsible for facilities management within the office ensuring the office runs smoothly and effectively on a day to day basis and ensure that offices are maintained in accordance with lease agreements, procure contract services, liaise with contractors and maintain service level agreements in line with best practice and be responsible for office Health and safety issues . This role requires an innovative individual with a broad skill set and a positive approach. Previous experience of facilities / office management coupled with a strong HR background is essential. You must be a strong communicator and maintain a professional yet friendly approach at all times.
