Great new opportunity for an ambitious Family Associate or Partner. Very successful Surrey firm, that has attracted a number of ex-London lawyers fed up with the commute, is looking to expand on its Family law expertise. This firm has built a fantastic client base of both commercial organisations and very wealthy individuals. They have only experienced a slight downturn in turnover due to the credit crunch and that has predictably been in property. Other areas of the firm have seen growth and there is full commitment to expand the practice. The Private Client department is flourishing and works in general with very high net worth individuals, many of which live in this very wealthy and expensive part of the county. One solicitor currently undertakes family law and the Partners are keen to build on this. You'll head up the Family team and working with the Head of Private Client, you'll be responsible for developing the family work using both your own contacts and business development skills, but also the impressive client base of the firm and it's strong local presence. The Managing Partner has stated there would be investment both in time and money from the firm, as he believes that this is a genuine opportunity for the firm to further expand and capitalise on their success, even in this economic climate. This role offers autonomy yet strong support and a very friendly collegiate firm of bright people. Salary will depend on experience, but this firm pays well for the area and has attracted London lawyers looking a good work and lifestyle.
