FAMILY LOCUM LAWYER - DEVON
This is an opportunity for an experienced Family Lawyer to join a specialist team. The role will be to provide maternity cover for a fixed term period of 6 months, ideally starting towards the end of October 2008. The role will involve private divorce and ancillary relief work across our range of clients. Solicitor 5 years PQE.
They are looking for an individual who has at least five years experience in advising on family issues. With the emphasis on advising clients in complex divorce cases, you will be able to demonstrate significant relevant experience including ancillary relief in privately funded cases as well as the ability to draft related divorce documentation and instruct and advise Counsel in Court.
Other core elements of the role include:
- An understanding of the high standards of client care required for existing and potential clients
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and work within and assist other members in the team;
- Excellent communication skills with both clients and colleagues, with the ability to deal confidently and professionally with existing highly valued clients;
- Good organisational and time management skills including an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines;
- Positive approach and attitude and the ability to respond under pressure and adapt to a variety of situations;
- Ability to achieve targets (this includes both individual targets, as well as helping build our practice and therefore contributing to the overall team targets)
