Job Description

This mid-size City firm combines a high-profile commercial and entrepreneurial practice with a lively and informal atmosphere and strong profitability. 

Its Matrimonial department is recognised as one of the "magic circle" of family practices, acting each year in some of the highest-profile divorces in the country. 

There is a high level of responsibility from the outset, working as a general assistant while being responsible for carrying a full caseload. Duties include meeting clients, attending court, instructing counsel, drafting pleadings, proofing witnesses, carrying out research, taking statements, liaising daily with solicitors, experts and clients, and many other client-related activities. Work includes high- and middle-level ancillary relief, including work with an international aspect and children cases (residence, contact, leave to remove, child abduction, etc) 

You should have 2+ years' PQE and confidence in managing client relationships, workloads and priorities. Knowledge of Hague Convention child abduction proceedings and law is desirable, as well as the ability to 'think on your feet'.
