ENERGY SOLICITOR
Our client, an an international (Top 100) global law firm with its Head Quarters in the City of London, are currently looking to recruit an Energy lawyer who has from 6+ years PQE to join their Projects & International Construction Group.
Naturally, you will have a sound commercial awareness, an understanding of how energy works in a commercial context and experience of energy projects and regulation whether in the UK or elsewhere. The individual will need to be keen to do a mix of both the commercial and regulatory duties. There may be some future opportunity for international travel. The candidate will be working closely with a specialist in this field in London.
Candidates will ideally have gained experience in a city or international or large regional practice or alternatively be in-house at an energy company. They must be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic. They will be a team player with a strong client focused approach. They will also have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills.
The successful candidate will join their Projects & International Construction Group, which specialises in infrastructure and energy, often international.
In the energy sector they have a wide range of experience in the power (including nuclear and renewables) and oil and gas sectors. They represent clients across the spectrum of these industries, including, generators, transmission companies, owners and operators, public and private utilities, oil exploration and refining companies, international contractors, banks and governments.
