Are you a Respondent Employment solicitor frustrated by lack of career progression? This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the development of an Employment division within the Manchester office of an established regional commercial practice.
You will deal with matters on behalf of employers, acting for owner managed businesses, large national employers, PLCs and public authorities.
You will provide advice and assistance in respect of all types of employment law issues including the following:
Recruitment and avoiding discrimination claims
Contracts of employment
Service agreements for directors
Dismissals, redundancies and downsizing
Unfair dismissal
Race, sex, disability, religious and sexual orientation discrimination
Flexible working
Employment businesses and employment agencies
Restrictive covenants and confidentiality
Business transfers and TUPE
Employment handbooks
Policies and procedures
Disciplinary issues
Grievance issues
Maternity issues
Sickness issues
Data protection law
Union recognition
Trade disputes and strikes
Health and safety
You will work closely with a reputable Partner to establish a strong presence in Manchester.
