This long established firm is almost part of the fabric of the West Midlands with a history going back over 100 years. This means that it has a loyal commercial client base, but has attracted lots of new business by re-inventing itself into a modern dynamic law firm.
An opportunity now exists for an experienced Employment Solicitor to spearhead the development of the team in this challenging area of law. The work is primarily respondent based and non contentious work included:-
*contracts of employment and directors' service agreements
*restrictive covenants and confidentiality clauses
*policy statements and company handbooks
*disciplinary codes and grievance procedures
On the contentious side you can expect to be busy working on matters including:-
* Constructive and unfair dismissals
* Sexual and racial discrimination matters
* Equal pay
* Disability discrimination
* Representation at Industrial Tribunal
This is a really vital appointment for the firm as it sees Employment law as an area of growth for the practice. You will ideally have at least 3 years PQE in this challenging area of law and be a strong advocate. The firm is keen to support marketing initiatives and you will be able to take advantage of a strong client portfolio to which you can promote your services.
