Salary to £38000. A Legal Executive is needed to join a leading firm in employment practice to manage a caseload on contentious and non-contentious matters, mainly on behalf of employers. As well as standard issues the firm is also instructed on more than its fair share of disputes pertaining to trade union issues such as rights of membership, recognition, time off for permitted activities etc. This is due to the firm's acknowledged expertise in collective labour law disputes, augmented by the particular expertise of one of the four employment Partners.
Other matters you will be dealing with include:
-Drafting contracts / s1 Statement of Terms
-Advice on disciplinary matters and GP
-Restructuring and TUPE transfers
-Executive / office-holder appointments and termination
The firm is very committed to the work / life balance. Your recoverable hours target will be just over HALF of that you would be expected to manage at similar-sized city centre rival firms.
