PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT LAWYER

TECHNOLOGY, MEDIA & TELECOMS

LEADING CITY LAW FIRM

Legal Works is delighted to be recruiting a Commercial / IT professional support lawyer for this top City law firm.

This is a great opportunity for an existing PSL or a lawyer / solicitor looking for a change in direction in career and particularly one with a better work & home' life balance.

The Role

The role will cover the usual' aspects of the PSL role and will likely include all / most of the following:-

Monitoring developments of law & practice;
Providing guidance on complex technical client problems;
Assisting business development initiatives;
Contributing to know-how;
Disseminating information/knowledge to the practice;
Dealing with fee earner enquiries;
Providing training on developments in the law & practice;
Full-time role if need be but flexible hours available for the right individual.

You

You will be at least 3PQE but more ideally circa 5PQE;
Experience of working in private practice is essential;
You will be considered if currently working in-house or in an academic position, but part of your career will have been in a law firm;
Applications from barristers with the key experience will also be considered;
Major City law firm experience or experience in a large commercial firm is highly desirable;
Experience of previous work as a PSL is not essential.
You will be expected to focus primarily on IT outsourcing, data protection issues & other related technology law and know-how topics.
Additionally, it will be an advantage if you are able to assist on telecoms & media-related law and legal issues.
