Unique IP Counsel role for this major telecommunications business in the Thames Valley
As a business that's driven by new ideas, it's not all that surprising that protecting them is vitally important to us - which means, in this role, you can be sure of a high profile.
Reporting directly to the Head of IP based in the UK, you will work closely with our IP teams in Spain, with your remit also extending to the strategic protection and enforcement of the O2 brand globally. Indeed, a key element of the role will be to assist our central and local brand teams in the use of our brand in marketing and communications, as well as advising the business as a whole on patent protection and enforcement, IP issues in new media, copyright protection and design right.
Excited by the prospect of a truly global platform - and keen to experience more autonomy - you will already have a proven track record working on IP related matters gained either from private practice or in-house. Solid experience of working with commercial clients on a broad range of legal scenarios, together with an unwavering commercial focus and the ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels (and in all territories), will also be a must.
