COMMERCIAL & TECHNOLOGY SOLICITOR - THAMES VALLEY
Fantastic opportunity with one of the area's leading firms.
This team are looking for a qualified Lawyer to join them, working on a range of matters. You will have previous experience in providing solutions to clients, gained either in-house or at another law firm, with either an in-depth specialism in at least one of the areas below or a broad range of experience.
Sectoral experience should cover at least one but preferably more than one of the following:
- Software & computers;
- Information & Communications Technology;
- Franchising & distribution;
- Engineering and electronic manufacturing;
- Advertising and marketing;
- Media & publishing;
- Training, recruitment & employment;
- Medical devices, healthcare & pharma
Key attributes:
Ability to effectively interact with clients and prioritise their work to fulfil their objectives
Possess excellent legal analysis, drafting and, communication skills, both verbal & written
Be used to providing clear & concise advice
Possess excellent contract law knowledge
Be able to create solutions to meet client objectives
An awareness and understanding of EU & competition law
Team Profile:
The Commercial & Technology team provide day-to-day business advice as well as working with clients on projects such as Software development & implementation, Technology transfer, FM & outsourcing agreements.
Work includes the drafting & negotiating of bespoke commercial agreements. We handle the protection, management and exploitation of all types of intellectual property. We give advice on all aspects of software, data licensing & distribution of both goods and services in the UK, EU and EMEA; and advise on the regulation of business to business and business to consumer trading across a range of sectors.
Our work also includes advice relating to e-commerce & web design, development hosting & security contracts; branding protection & anti-counterfeiting measures; consumer & business finance and data protection & privacy issues.
Clients include global companies but also mid-market UK companies and fast-growing and entrepreneurial businesses.
