Prospects for career Paralegal as well as those seeking a training contract are a distinct possibility at this firm. If you are an experienced fee earner in debt recovery, personal injury or ULR, this BIRMINGHAM firm is able to offer sound career prospects. It does not leave its Paralegals to stagnate and if you are seeking a training contract, you will be ACTIVELY ENCOURAGED to apply. If you are a career Paralegal there are many opportunities to climb up within the department and undertake supervisory and management roles. Although it is normally viewed as a retrograde step from PI to ULR, the fact that you will not be pigeonholed, makes this position worthy of consideration.
It is a very informal environment, headed by a Partner and Manager who are laid-back in their approach. The work / life balance is very much adhered to and it is rare to find anyone at their desk past 5.30pm.
This approach pays dividends as the firm has won many key clients, including corporate self-insureds, ULR specialists and insurers. The Partner is committed to business development and there are plans for rapid expansion later in 2008, which is very much needed, in addition to being sustainable.
