Job Description

Legal Debt Recovery Team Leaders - Warwickshire - Immediate start

Frances Armstrong Associates LLP is currently seeking Team Leaders to manage a legal debt collections department.

Based from our client's established Warwickshire offices, the successful applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a debt recovery environment or similar supervisory experience in a customer service or sales environment.

The successful applicants will report to the Head of Operations and must have the ability to motivate collectors to ensure that team and individual targets are met, demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills and be able to work in a professional, consistent and disciplined manner.

Knowledge and experience required:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent data analysis skills
  • A working knowledge of legislation and other compliance requirements to the UK
  • Excellent MS Office skills to include Excel and Word
  • Experience of implementation of financial targets and budgets

Role and responsibilities:

  • Review team and individual performance on a daily basis, analysing results and trends within team
  • Identify opportunities for improvement through coaching, targeting etc
  • Provide coaching and feedback as required
  • Ensure all daily work lists and diaries are worked accurately and consistently by the teams
  • Perform quality assurance checks on all work as specified by the management team
  • Ensure plans and settlement are followed up and collected upon within SLA's
  • Undertake daily briefing sessions at the start of each shift with the team and feedback to Head of Operations
  • Perform regular audits of accounts to ensure suitable actions are taking place to collect on accounts
  • Ensure collectors are aware of what is expected of them each day in terms of call volumes, number of plans, collections, dialler times
  • Review the Teams KPI's and performance on a daily basis with Head of Operations
  • Ensure the daily task list is maintained
  • Provide management cover
  • Provide daily feedback to the Head of Operations-detailing performance, highlights, achievements, issues and concerns
  • Review team call stats to ensure service levels are maintained with respect to call volumes and dialler times
  • Maintain a level of consistency in respect of post dated payments
  • Review expected collections on a daily basis to ensure accounts are being monitored and controlled in a consistant manner
  • Perform monthly one-to-one's with collectors providing feedback, support and coaching
  • Perform return to work interview
  • Ensure end of shift tasks take place

 Skills:

  • Ability to manage and motivate at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure and within the required timescales
  • Diplomacy and the ability to understand and resolve problems sympathetically.
  • Flexible, clear and forward thinking approach to continuing change within the Practice

The candidate is expected to be flexible, working various shifts between 8:00am - 8:00pm with a minimum of two 12:00pm - 8:00pm shifts each week, and will be expected to work alternate Saturdays 9am - 12 pm.

The firm is also committed to ongoing career development of its employees and as such ongoing support and training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Salary: Up to £18,000 + Benefits.

Start date - Immediate

All applicants must be living in the U.K at time of application, and be eligible to work full time and without restriction in the U.K.
