Our client, a private practice law firm, has been established in Kent for over 250 years and enjoys an enviable reputation among its clients and fellow lawyers. With three offices in Kent and over 70 staff , their practice covers a wide range of legal services for individuals, families and business. They offer an approachable and professional service offering both Legal Aid and Private funded work.
Due to continued success of the Criminal department, a position has become available for an experienced Duty Qualified Criminal Solicitor to be based in their Maidstone office.
Within this role you will be required to attend clients in the police station, take instructions, advise and assist in the preparation of their case, advise on the appropriate manner of funding in the case and ensure appropriate representation before the various tribunals covered by the Department, advise and assist in dealing appropriately with police enquiries, qualify for and join the relevant Police Station Duty Scheme.
The caseload will be mixed but may include serious crime including Very High Costs Cases due to a new contract just having been awarded.
We are ideally looking for a Criminal Solicitor who is Duty Qualified and has a PQE of 2 - 6 years, now looking for a new opportunity within a progressive department.
Salary will be market rate and dependant on experience.
