Legal Secretary Corporate Department Manchester Up to £22k
The Client
Our client is a fast-growing, international law firm who aim to attract and retain talented lawyers and business support staff and to enable them to reach their full potential. They do this by offering a range of stretching and interesting work, a constructive management style and an outstanding learning & development programme.
The Role
The work type is extremely varied, consisting of PFI, MBOs, mortgage acquisitions, insolvency, winding-up, sale and purchase work. 80% of the work is copy typing and creating/amending documents - sale and purchase agreements, verification notes, due diligence reports (these can range from 40 to 300 pages) and also smaller documents - written resolutions, board minutes, disclosure letters, power of attorneys. 20% of the work is typing up letters, emails, faxes, memo's and attendance notes, organising client meetings - internal and external, lunches and social events involving clients.
The Candidate
Candidates must have Legal Secretarial experience with a background in Corporate law, a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and E-mail and electronic diaries, at least 65 wpm typing speed audio (currently use digital dictation), experience with document production specifically long document work and automatic numbering, a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy, maintaining efficiency and due to the nature of this role it is essential that the successful candidate be willing to work extra hours as and when required.
