Are you passionate about Corporate law but bored with the big firm politics and City egos? Well this could be the happy medium you have been looking for. An opportunity to undertake top quality corporate work within a friendly environment.
The corporate department at this mid-sized firm advises on a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions and acts for a number of well-known publicly quoted and private companies, several of which are headquartered outside the UK.
The department is divided into a number of groups, each with a different focus whether it be on work for public companies - IPOs, M&A and advisory or private company M&A and private equity work.
Unlike many larger firms, here you are expected to have direct contact with the clients and other advisers and are encouraged to take on work of increasing importance and complexity commensurate with your developing expertise.
You will have trained at a City or large national or regional law firm, and have some experience during training in a corporate seat (although not necessarily in the public company arena).
You will preferably have chosen a corporate elective at law school. An understanding of how a share sale and purchase agreement works is desirable and experience of working on an AIM or Main List transaction would also be helpful. You should have the necessary interest to learn and develop legal skills in corporate finance, with ambition to contribute to the group and must also be willing to take an active role in the group's marketing and business development strategy.
If you are interested in moving to a mid-sized City practice to undertake excellent quality work, with an attainable chargeable hours target of 1400 hours, down-to-earth partners within a supportive team environment, please contact me - Sunita Kotecha on (phone number removed) or (phone number removed) or email me at (email address removed)
